Dear Manchester City Council,

During the years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019,2020 and 2021 how many times did Taxi & Private Hire Licensing Enforcement Officers visit the following districts to conduct enforcement checks on the drivers and vehicles that are licensed by yourselves.
Birmingham City Council

Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council

Bury Metropolitan Borough Council

Cheshire West & Chester Council

City of Wolverhampton Council

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council

Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council

Leicester City Council

Liverpool City Council

Oldham Council

Rochdale Borough Council

Rossendale Borough Council

Salford City Council

Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council

Trafford Council

Sefton Council

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council

St Helens Council

Walsall Council

Wigan Council

Wirral Council

For clarity, I am not asking for enforcement within your local district but for checks made on vehicles/drivers licensed by yourselves that are working occasionally, predominantly, or exclusively in the districts listed where your officers have had to travel to in order to undertake these enforcement checks.

If you have undertaken enforcement exercises in any of these districts, then how many vehicles/drivers were checked on each occasion?

Yours faithfully,

Lee Ward

Andrew Scragg, Manchester City Council

Dear Lee Ward,
The city council have not visited any of the listed Local Authority areas
for the purposes of routine enforcement checks of vehicles and drivers
licenced by MCC who may occasionally, predominantly, or exclusively work
in those areas.  However, we would state that it is common and regular
practice for visits to be made to addresses associated with licence
holders, which may be located in a neighbouring local authority area, for
the performance of the city council's taxi and private hire enforcement
and compliance function.
