Dear Tracy Wright,

Freedom of Information Act 2000 Acknowledgement

Thank you for your communication of 26th November which has been passed to
HMRC's Freedom of Information Team.

We have allocated the above reference which you should quote if you need
to contact us.

The Team will arrange for a reply to be sent to you which will either
comply with HMRC's obligations under Freedom of Information Act or, if we
think it's an enquiry that we don't need to address under the terms of the
Act, let you know why. If it is the latter we will, if possible, pass it
on to a more appropriate part of the Department for answer.

Yours sincerely

Dear Tracy Wright,

I am writing in response to your request for information, received 26
November 2017. Please see attached a copy of our response.

Yours sincerely,

HMRC Freedom of Information Team

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of HM Revenue and Customs's handling of my FOI request 'Tax Bracket Figures UK & Scotland'. A copy of the request is attached here:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...

and would ask why it had taken you from the 26th November to now to advise of the rejection (subversion under s65 of the FOI Act) and in breach of the AARHUS Convention in the provision of timescale adherance and provision of environmental data.

I also ask that you confirm costs for this FOI since it is the reason for rejection and offer to ask only for the Scottish figures for this request if it helps, and that the UK figures be provided seperately to break down costs. HMRC have already provided some of this data in an earlier request to other journalists (regards numbers of investigators, etc) so only the last 3 years or so will have to be investigated anew, the other years already on your databases & here.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...

Yours sincerely,

Tracy Wright
