Dear Department for Transport,

With regards to Switch Island junction in Aintree near Liverpool, please can you provide the following under Freedom of Information:

- What the average vehicle throughput/usage is every year over the last 10 years
- How many road traffic accidents there have been at this junction each year over the last 10 years and their severity (i.e. fatal and non-fatal); of those, how many have been attributable to traffic coming from or going onto A5758 Brooms Cross Road, which opened in 2015
- Whether there has been any proposals or discussions surrounding building a flyover linking Brooms Cross Road directly to the M57 motorway over Switch Island
- What investment has come from the DfT towards improvement works to the junction over the last 10 years
