Surrey County Council Unitary Authority Proposal
Dear Surrey County Council,
It is noted that on 13th October a motion was resolved by means of vote that Surrey County Council not publish documents relating to the Unitary Authority proposal.
As a Surrey resident, based in Redhill, I find this hugely frustrating to read the large sums of money involved that could have been allocated elsewhere are now in the hands of auditors and other 3rd parties nominated by Surrey County Council (I have a Freedom of Information Act request pending on this matter).
Therefore, please can you publish the following under the Freedom of Information Act:
(1). A full public written report on the unitary bid, to include the process used to launch the bid and authorise its expenditure, the rationale for developing the bid at the current time and to understand the full costs of the bid so far and any other relevant information.
(2). A full rational and analysis into the costs of this proposal, including the costs of the Put Residents First Campaign
I am fully understanding the amount of work required to carry out this request and am prepared to accept costs attributed to this work.
Yours faithfully,
Mr M P Hay
