Supporting trans and non-binary staff

The request was successful.

Dear University of Essex,

The recently published report by Akua Reindorf referenced and quoted the University's Supporting trans and non-binary staff guidance. The reference list linked to a document at https://tinyurl.com/ycslsuyx, this appears to be identical to the document linked at https://blogs.essex.ac.uk/hr/2019/08/29/... which appears to have been published in August 2019.

Please can you inform me if there are, and provide copies of, any other versions of this document published for use within the University as the quote Ms Reindorf uses in Para 226 of the report does not appear in the form she quotes it, and as such would change the complete complexion of that section of the report.

Yours faithfully,

Eloise Freya

Freedom Of Information Requests, University of Essex

Dear Eloise

Further to your earlier request below I have now looked at your request in more detail and would be grateful if you could provide some clarification on exactly what information you are looking for.

Unfortunately it would seem that the first link that you have provided below no longer works. Please could you re-send a new link so that I can see which document you are referring to.

Having looked at the Reindorf Report I see that there is only one quote in paragraph 226 which says the University "will not tolerate staff being questioned inappropriately about the facility they choose or being denied access to that facility." However, this is identical to the words that are used in our current Supporting Trans and Non-Binary Staff Policy document on page 6.

If you could come back to me to clarify the information that you are looking for, it would be much appreciated. We can then ensure that we provide you with relevant information.

Please note that the 20 working days allowed by the Act won't start counting down until I hear back from you.

Best wishes

What I want to know is: has the Supporting Trans and Non-Binary Staff policy document been updated following the Reindorf report?

If it has, could you provide a copy of any earlier version of the policy
