Do people in supported living pay a charge to the council under the fairer charging policy and if so is it at 100% of there disposable income?
Thank you for your recent request made under the Freedom of Information
Act. Our response is as follows, alongside your initial request:
Do people in supported living pay a charge to the council under the fairer
charging policy and if so is it at 100% of there disposable income?
People who receive their care and support in a "Supported Independent
Living" service are assessed for their contribution towards their care and
support in accordance with the Care Act 2014, and as a non residential
care service. Where a person has their care and support funded in a
Supported Independent Living service the Council charge 100% of the net
disposable income following a financial assessment.
