Council holds the information requested in part.

Please see below the service response:

Please can you provide the following information related to supported
living accommodation for adults with learning difficulties in your area:

Please note that we do not hold information from before the 1^st of April
2021 – this information will be held by West Northamptonshire Council,
contactable by email to [1][email address]

Total number of 'in authority' placements in the years 2019, 2020, 2021,
2022

We are unable to provide any data prior to the inception of North
Northamptonshire Council in 2021. We do not currently have the mechanisms
in place to report this information on an annual basis

Based on NNC’s current commitment we have the following number of out of
authority placements.

LD
247

Total new 'in authority' placements in the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022

Of the current in authority placements of 247 69 of these started in the
year 2022 but this would also include increase and decreases to
placements.

Expected new 'in authority' placements in 2023

NNC doesn’t currently have demand reporting, so we are not currently able
to forecast demand we are only able to supply the current position.

Currently brokerage have 17 support living packages waiting to be
confirmed

Of the 17 5 of them are looking to make changes to current placements

1 of the 17 is looking for a temporary placement

11 of these are classified as new service requests of these 10 are request
for in authority placements

Total number of 'out of authority' placements in the years 2019, 2020,
2021, 2022

We are unable to provide any data prior to the inception of North
Northamptonshire Council in 2021. We do not currently have the mechanisms
in place to report this information on an annual basis. We can confirm
that the total number of out of authority supported living placements has
remained fairly static over the last year.

Based on NNC’s current commitment we have the following number of out of
authority placements.

LD
34

Total new 'out of authority' placements in the years 2019, 2020, 2021,
2022

During 2021 NNC had new 3 out of authority supported living placements

In 2022 there was 1

Expected new 'out of authority' placements in 2023

NNC doesn’t currently have demand reporting, so we are not currently able
to forecast demand we are only able to supply the current position.

Of the 17 currently with brokerage 2 of them are looking for placements
outside of the authority.

Does the council currently have sufficient supply of supported living
accommodation from private providers to meet demand? and is there a need
for more beds?

Based on the fact we currently have 281 Supported Living placements listed
and 17 waiting to be confirmed and only 11 of those new requests. Combined
with the number of voids declared on the last capacity survey NNC feels
that there is sufficient supply of supported living.

Number of service users placed into supported living accommodation since
2021 and the average weekly fee associated to those

Please see spreadsheet (List of Providers) and table below:

LD
£1,449.43
