Support from Council: Ukrainian vs British Homeless
Dear Oxford City Council,
The Council has provided excellent support for the Ukrainian homeless (and others from around the globe who have never contributed a penny to the welfare system).
The Council appears eager to help and accommodate the Ukrainian homeless and readily hands out money for deposits for securing accommodation and rent advances, in addition to payments for furniture, white goods, removal and transport costs etc.
If a British homeless person approached the Council would they receive the same level of financial support and help as the Ukrainian homeless? Would the Council give money for deposits and rent advances? If you would not offer the same level of support, please explain why.
Yours faithfully,
Steve Upton
