Dear FOI Team,
Thank you for your letter sent 6/8/20 and my clarification, as requested in the letter, is as follows.

I understand that the BBC is an independant organisation funded by the licence fee. The 'support' I refer to in my request is therefore not financial support but written support or transcripts of verbal support on the subject. I anticipate that this could be statements by Ministers or MPs in Parliament, press releases, answers to questions during press conferences or speeches by ministers.

I hope this clarifies my FOI.

Yours sincerely,

Alan Kennett

Dear FOI Team,
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport have declined to respond to my request saying " We consider your request would be over the statutory limit due the large amount of information that would potentially fall in scope which we would need to check through."

I intend to reduce the scope of the required search and resubmit the request for information.

Yours sincerely,

Alan Kennett

Dear Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport,

Your recent reply stated that my FOI request was too broad and would exceed the time allowed to give a full response. I would therefore like to reduce the scope of my request to only include press releases from any of the ministers that relate my original request and clarification.

I look forward to your reply.

Yours faithfully,

Alan Kennett
