Support for children who are suicidal - education
Dear FOI officer,
I should like to request the following information about the commissioned educational and awareness raising activities and suicide prevention activities aimed at people under the age of 18 in Birmingham, which falls within the geographical remit of your organisation.
I would like to find out the following information about any i) educational or awareness raising activities relating to mental health or emotional/psychological wellbeing, or ii) suicide prevention activities aimed at people under 18 that you fund in Birmingham:
• The focus of the activity, i.e. mental health awareness raising or suicide prevention
• The type of activity
• The intended outcome for the activity
• The audience for the activity
• The structure of the activity, i.e. is it one-off or over several sessions
• How many hours does the activity last in total
• Who delivers the activity
• The number of times the activity is expected to be delivered in a 12 month period
• The number of times the activity has been delivered in the most recent reporting period (quarter or year)
• The number of people aged under 18 that can access the activity in a 12 month period
• The number of people aged under 18 that access the activity in the most recent reporting period (quarter or year)
For each activity, I would also like to request a copy of:
• The safeguarding policy followed
• The confidentiality policy followed
• Any position statements on self-determination, decision making and choice
• Any feedback about the activity that can be shared
I should prefer to receive these in electronic format at this email address, however, I am happy to receive them by post if that is more convenient.
It would be helpful if you were to provide any brief notes which might be necessary to understand the context of the information provided, although I recognise that you are not obliged to do this.
