The total amount spent by schools on supply teaching for the school year 2016 - 2017.
Please could you break this down-
1) Total amount spent directly by schools or via the local authority.
2) Total amount spent on agencies, broken down per agency.

1) £1,913,753.65 spent on supply teachers in 2016/17.
2) There has been no spend on supply teachers through agencies in 2016/17.
