Dear A Rogowski,

I am writing in response to your request for information below (Ref 4704).

As explained in our acknowledgement email, a number of the schools you
have listed in your request are not within the borough of Stockport;
therefore the Council does not hold information regarding those schools.
The response to the remainder of your request has been prepared by the
relevant Council service and is as follows:

Please find attached a file which provides summary information of supply
costs incurred on a school-by-school basis for the financial year 2010/11.

Schools have three available options to procure supply teachers:

            a)   Casual Supply Teachers

b)    The Local Authority registered pool of teachers (Supreme Agency)

c)     3^rd Party external agency

As the schools have different procurement options available, the Local
Authority does not hold all of the source data in relation to such
matters.

The attached file shows the expenditure incurred for each school for the
requested period for the three categories outlined above. However as
schools engage directly with 3^rd party agencies for the procurement of
some of the supply costs, the information held by the Local Authority is
only for the total expenditure incurred by each school for the whole of
the financial year and not for the individual agencies and/or teachers
concerned. Should you require any additional information on the latter, a
separate request would need to be directed to the individual school
concerned.

If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request you are
entitled to ask for an internal review. Any internal review will be
carried out by a senior member of staff who was not involved with your
original request. To ask for an internal review, contact [1][email
address] in the first instance.

If you are unhappy with the outcome of any internal review, you are
entitled to complain to the Information Commissioner. To do so, contact:
