Dear Rhondda Cynon Taff Council,

There has been a lot of controversy in the news lately regarding supply agencies charging schools finders fees/perm fees. If an agency introduces a teacher to a school, and the school then take that teacher on contract, the agency has a right to charge the school a fee for this.

It seems to happen a lot in England, but not so much in Wales. Could you please provide me with a breakdown as to how much the schools in the borough have spent on these perm/finders fees in the last academic year (if at all). I am referring specifically to perm fees here and not general agency supply spend.

Yours faithfully,

Hannah W
