Summons Records
Dear HM Courts and Tribunals Service,
Can you please provide all information you hold relating to Magistrates Courts Act 1980 Part 2 - Civil Jurisdiction:
1 - Once a summons is authorised does that generate a case number against which the details of the authorising officer are recorded?, and
2 - If no case number is generated how does one know whether there is a matter before the court?
3 - Is a summons without a case number a lawful summons?
Yours faithfully,
Marc Horn

Dear HM Courts and Tribunals Service,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of HM Courts and Tribunals Service's handling of my FOI request 'Summons Records'.
I have requested documents highlighting process of courts first to the MOJ. They claimed they do not have the information.
HMCTS is the legal entity which is allegedly a separate legal person and is independent of the MOJ
Accordingly there is no rational reason for HMCTS to provide the requested information or confirm they do not hold it.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...
Yours faithfully,
Marc Horn
