Suicide rates amongst Ambulance service personnel
Dear North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust,
I would like to know the number of suicide related deaths of emergency ambulance service personnel between January 2007 and December 2017.
And of those,
Were any members of staff referred for TRiM referral at any point?
Yours faithfully,
Nicky Gordon

Dear Nicky
Further to your freedom of information request I can confirm that our
electronic systems only record death in service and do not specifically
record suicide as a cause of death. We have gathered information from our
HR teams but it should be recognised that this then depends on
recollection as there is insufficient time to check all manual files.

The TRiM service was introduced in one area of the trust in 2015, it was
fully rolled out across the trust in 2017. We are not aware of any of
these staff being referred to TRiM referrals.
I hope the above information is of assistance.
