I would like to formally request the following information regarding Hydraulic fracturing (also hydrofracturing, hydrofracking, fracking, or fraccing); a well-stimulation technique in which rock is fractured by a hydraulically pressurized liquid:

1) The total number of successful research grant awards in the area of Hydraulic fracturing, between Jan 1st 2001 and 2nd Dec 2014, broken down by each year?

2) The total value of successful research grant awards in the area of Hydraulic fracturing, between Jan 1st 2001 and 2nd Dec 2014, broken down by each year?

3) The name of institutions successful research grant awards in the area of Hydraulic fracturing were made, and in each case their individual values and the date they were awarded?

Dear Andrew,

 

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request sent to the RCUK on 2^nd
December 2014.  As Jane Primrose explained in her previous email, RCUK is
not a legal entity within its own right and is hosted by EPSRC.  This
request has been passed to EPSRC to answer.  The reference for this
request is PSU-90 which relates to information about successful grant
awards in the area of hydraulic fracturing.

 

EPSRC are currently dealing with your request and will get back to you as
soon as possible or no later than 2^nd January 2015.
