Subway Legacy Fleet Withdrawal
Dear Strathclyde Partnership for Transport,
I am writing to request information in regard to the current and planned status of your Subway legacy fleet withdrawals.
Could you please tell me the status of your trains that have been withdrawn/scrapped with the following at the time of your reply:
The fleet number,
The date last operated in service,
The date departed for scrap (If not yet departed, N/A),
The reason for withdrawal,
The cost to/gained by SPT for scrap of the vehicles.
With regards to the planned withdrawal of the legacy fleet, could you please tell me:
If there is any planned order for withdrawal of particular vehicles going forward.
If any vehicles have been sold/designated for anything other than scrappage, e.g. preservation.
If SPT is currently planning to mark the occasion of the last operational legacy fleet vehicles, e.g. publicised last run, private tour etc.
The projected date for total withdrawal of the legacy fleet.
