Subject: Ecological survey work in Oldham
Dear Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council,
Please refer this Freedom of Information request to the Greater Manchester Ecology Unit.
We would be grateful if you would provide us with information relating to the following sites allocated in the Places for Everyone Greater Manchester masterplan:
JPA 12 Beal Valley
JPA 14 Broadbent Moss
1) We need to see all survey work completed by GMEU officers and anyone they hired or invited including all fields/habitats on a field by field basis with DAFOR abundancy codes on botany. It will need the date and officer name. This should be all work completed since the GFMSF PFE was initiated. It should be a robust reply of raw data and maps and it can include why the officer thinks there is no Priority Habitat present if such an assessment was made at that point.
2) We also wish to see any meeting notes, correspondence, file notes, whatever on the consideration of our site(s) as Priority Habitats. If a Priority Habitat was rejected the response should make clear why they are rejecting the Priority Habitat. The officer/s making this decision should be identified.
3) We also wish to see any correspondence from GMEU to our local authority and GMCA on the issue of Priority Habitats and Priority Species and Sites of Biological Importance and ecology in general in our allocation.
Kind regards,
Gillian Holden
