Sub postmaster standard contract

Peter C. Bell made this Freedom of Information request to Post Office Limited This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Post Office Limited,

In Bates & Ors v Post Office Ltd ((No.3) "Common Issues") [2019] EWHC 606 (QB) Fraser J ruled that there were a number of clauses in the NTC contract which failed "the requirement of reasonableness in the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977".

a) What amendments have been made to the NTC contract as a result of the ruling of Fraser J.

b) What changes, if any, have been made to date to the contracts considered by Fraser J in that case?

Please provide your response in electronic form.

Yours faithfully,

Peter C. Bell
