COMMENT

(1) In the aftermath of the 2007 postal voting fraud in Central ward (investigated and prosecuted; election petition hearing http://law.slough.info/law41/law41.php) and also in Chalvey ward (complaint formally received by the council, not investigated by the council, then the council unlawfully destroyed all the evidence which prevented a police investigation - well, it is Slough Council so what can anyone realistically expect ?), and being the tenth anniversary of the Central ward event here is a pertinent request for information.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

(2) What procedures has the council introduced and what advice has the council given to those involved in "the election process" to reduce the incidence of dodgy practises (or "matters of concern") relating to postal voting ?

(3) To whom was any council provided advice disclosed to ?

(4) Are all the Parliamentary election candidates aware of the council's advice ? If so, what evidence exists of their awareness and how long is such evidenced retained and by whom ?

Thank you.

News reporter.
