Freedom of Information Act 2000 Request – Student Non-Attendance at Ark 
Boulton Academy 
Dear Izzy, 
Thank you for your request of 23 October 2022 asking for information under the Freedom of 
Information Act (FOIA) 2000 on students not attending lessons but staying on school 
grounds at Ark Boulton Academy. 
Unfortunately, we have been unable to provide you with a response to your request. The scope 
of your request spans five-years and for school to gather the data for your request will exceed 
the 18-hour cost limit set out in Section 12 of the Act. 
Therefore, we would like to suggest reducing the scope of your request. This could be done by 
reducing the number of academic years and reducing the incident details you would like 
(questions a – d) to enable us to provide responses to your questions.
