Dear Rachel Harrad,
We have completed the compilation of information in response to your
request.
We can confirm that we do hold some information of the description
specified in your request. Our responses are given below each limb of your
request below and attached.
Note A - Some information has been withheld under Section 40(2) of the
FOIA which allows a public authority to withhold information under the
FOIA when the information requested is personal data relating to someone
other than the requestor, and its disclosure would breach any of the Data
Protection principles.
In this case, due to very low numbers involved, specifically in relation
to misconduct proceedings, the information across sections could amount to
personal information relating to identifiable individuals. We believe that
the disclosure of information in respect of potentially identifiable
individuals would not be within their reasonable expectations and as such
would be unfair and in breach of the first data protection principle which
requires personal data to be processed fairly and lawfully.
Where this is the case we have indicated below the questions.

Academic misconduct questions:
Please be advised that in order to not exceed cost limits established by
section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 we have provided you
with formally recorded stage 2 academic misconduct data from Student
Complaints & Discipline department, only. The primary reason for this is
that to exhaustively search all possible locations for all referrals of
possible academic misconduct would require a search at School and
Department level for their records, as initial reports (stage 0 and stage
1) are made to Schools and departments for their consideration. There are
over 50 such Schools and Departments and their records are not recorded
centrally in an easily searchable, aggregated format.
