Strip Searches and Sniffer Dogs.

The request was successful.

Dear South Wales Police,

Did you carry out Strip Searches at Escape into the Park this year?(2011)

Did you have sniffer dogs at the event?

How many Strip searches were carried out?

How many people after being strip searched were found with drugs on their person?

How many people were strip searched and found to have,

"Class A" controlled substances?

"Class B" controlled substances?

"Class C" controlled substances?

How many people were searched in total?

How many arrests did you make in total?

Was there free water available at the site?

Is Escape into the Park, still the only music event in South Wales that you carry out strip searches?

Yours faithfully,

Nik Morris

Philip Walsh left an annotation ()

Petty and pointless persecution of 'some people who take some drugs', a blatant infringement of civil liberty, and a waste of tax payers money (tax payers take drugs too!.

What possible excuse is there for this, how many people will stop taking drugs because of it.

When the House of Commons toilets were tested some years back they came up positive for traces of cocaine, I don't see any 'search dogs' for MP's. A petition put on the governmental petition site asking for MP's to be drug tested was removed as a non serious petition! I was serious when I signed it!
