Dear East Ayrshire Council,

I would like to lodge a freedom of information request as follows:

On 10th January 2023, teaching trade unions the Association of Headteachers & Depute Headteacher in Scotland (AHDS), the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS), the National Association of Schoolmasters and the Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) staged industrial action in the form of a one-day strike. Before taking such action, these organisations were required to declare the number of members who might be expected to participate in this on an establishment-by-establishment basis.

Under the terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act, I hereby request that I be provided with the numbers of members, declared on an establishment-by-establishment basis, to be participating in said industrial action of 10th January 2023 for each of the following organisations:

(i) AHDS,
(ii) EIS,
(iii) NASUWT,

Thanks in anticipation.

Ronnie Ross
