Street Lighting Removal

The request was partially successful.

Dear Kirklees Borough Council,

Please can you provide me with the following information:

• How many lighting columns are planned to be replaced within the next 5 years? And how many in each year?

• Who is responsible for delivering the work (and provider point of contact)?

• What is the name of the lead officer(s)/main contact(s) overseeing the replacement of street lighting?

• What is the current method used to replace/remove street lighting columns? Is it: A) HIAB or B) Cherry Picker?

• What is the current cost of taking a lighting column down?

• What is the current cost of installing the new lighting column?

• What is the current cost of disconnecting and reconnecting the lighting column?

• Would your organisation be interested in a new process which would look to increase Health & Safety and speed up the job?

Yours faithfully,

dave smithels
