Dear Ms Summerill,

Could you please clarify what you mean by animal rescue centre
please? In my request 'pound' is pound/holding kennel, contracted
by the local authority, that sells the stray dogs and 'rescue' is a
place that does assessing. neutering, homechecking etc before
rehoming.
Can you tell me which is nearest to 'animal rescue centre'?
Thank you for your continued assistance.

Yours sincerely,

Carla Bottle

Dear Ms Bottle

Thank you for your email.

Any dogs collected as strays are taken to Birmingham Dogs Home, where they are detained by the home on the Council’s behalf for the statutory 7 days. If the animal is not claimed within the 7 days it is then gifted to the Birmingham Dogs Home for rehoming. This is the website for Birmingham Dogs Home http://www.birminghamdogshome.org.uk/.

I hope that this clarifies matters for you.

Yours sincerely
