Good afternoon
Thank you for request of the 22 January 2025 relating to the Storage for
people living in Temporary Accommodation.
We do not hold this information in a reportable format. Under section 211
of the Housing Act the Council has a duty to take reasonable steps to
prevent loss or prevent/mitigate damage to the personal property of the
applicant and their household if the Council have reason to believe that
there is a danger of loss or damage to the property, and that there are no
other suitable arrangements for the property. However, this is reviewed
on individual basis and recorded on case files and any associated fees and
charges are within a generic homeless budget and the information is not
held in a manner whereby costs such as storage can be analysed.
