Stop and search statistics by race in England and Wales.

Office for National Statistics did not have the information requested.

Dear Office for National Statistics,

I would be grateful if you could provide me with the following information. It will be used for a university dissertation as I cannot seem to find the exact data required. The information requested will go towards my research in assessing the racial dis-proportionality often associated with police stop and search. Providing an unbiased discussion of the findings, considering an array of implicating factors.

I would like to know:

1) Organised by race (White, Black, Asian, Other, if possible please); the total amount of searches per group conducted (or PACE alone if easier), as well as data showing those figures per 1,000 of each groups representative population. From across England and Wales from 2013/2014-2017. (Or any similar evidence to show the demographic proportionality of those searches please).

2) Again organised by race, the amount of arrests (and prosecutions if possible) resulting from those searches^, again in relation to each demographic population.

Many thanks in advance!
I look forward to your response.

Yours faithfully,

Jake Bartlett
