Stolen watches by year

The request was successful.

Dear North Yorkshire Police,

I hope you're having a lovely day.

I'm just planning a research project and wondered if you had access to data that would show the amount of watches that have been stolen in your area? Ideally, annual figures going back 5 or 10 years.

If you do, I'll make a formal request but I don't want to bother you with that if you don't think you'll have that information.

Would that be possible?

Thanks for your help!

Yours faithfully,

Jamie Crane

Civil Disclosure, North Yorkshire Police

Good afternoon,

We would be able to provide data based upon our property categorisation of 'Wrist Watch' and those subcategorised as either 'Stolen' or 'Stolen Recovered'. Other details including make/model are held in free text form in the system so if you ask for a further breakdown based on this it may engage an excess cost exemption under Section 12.

You are welcome to submit a request and if achievable we will respond with the data, if it does engage section 12 then we will offer advice on refining the request to within the time/cost limits.

I hope this assists however please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

Please submit any formal FOI request to [email address]

Kind regards,

Robert Bates
