Dear Applicant,

Please consider this as our formal response to your information request which
was logged under the above reference number and treated as a request made under
the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000.

Please could you provide the school supply spend for the academic year 2022/2023
broken down by school and the agency used by each school in relation of
temporary supply teachers and support staff.

Please find enclosed file which provides summary information of all supply costs
both via Stockport pool of staff and third party agencies on a school by school
basis for the period April 2022 – March 2023.

School expenditure is reported at financial year, so the information provided
relates to the 2022/23 financial year (1 April 2022 – 31 March 2023)

The attached file shows the total expenditure incurred for each Primary school
into the following categories:

1.
SMBC bureau supply (CFR E02) – The Local Authority had a pool of supply
teachers/support staff that schools were able to access for providing supply
cover.

2.
Agency supply (CFR E26) – Schools may also decide to engage and procure supply
cover directly from 3rd party external agencies. However as such procurement is
direct with 3rd party agencies, the information held by the Local Authority is
only for the total expenditure incurred by each school and not for the
individual agencies and/or teachers/support staff concerned. Should you require
any additional information on the latter, a separate request would need to be
directed to the individual school concerned.

Documents held by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council may fall under the
Re-Use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015. If you receive a Council
document and you wish to use it for a new purpose, please identify the document
in question and describe how you intend to re-use it. We will aim to respond to
any re-use request within 20 working days.
