Good afternoon,

Our responding team have asked for the following clarification:

1. Number of neonatal admittances - do you mean number of admissions into the Neonatal ward?
2. Number of late fetal losses – please define “late fetal”?
3. Number of stillbirths
4. Number of early and late neonatal deaths – please define “early and late neonatal”?
5. Number of post neonatal deaths – Please could you define post neonatal death? We could provide the number of patients who had a discharge method of “death” from the Neonatal ward?

Please confirm at your earliest convenience, the clock will stop on your request until we hear from you and then begin again at 0 days on receipt of clarification.

Regards

Gina

Good Afternoon,

My apologies for the delay, I have been waiting to hear back from the respondent.

The respondent has replied to say that due to clinical shifts and working patterns they will require 4 weeks to manually pull the information, as it is recorded annually, and they will need to go into each patient record to confirm the month of death as our recording systems have changed since this time period. They aim to provide the information by Friday 12 July.

We will work to that date, but if we can we will aim to return it earlier.
