Dear FOI BSO,
I am replying to your request for clarification to my Question no. 4.
If a care home has had a statutory notification reported to the Public Health Agency for an infectious disease outbreak does this result in the temporary closure of the care home. For example to allow an infection control team to investigate the source/cause or the outbreak and to prevent the infection spreading to other residents, staff and visitors? Does the RQIA take any action regarding this, or does some other body, when a statutory notification is reported? Also why is there no record of statutory notifications reported in the RQIA inspection reports?
Yours sincerely,
Roger Corder

Dear FOI BSO,
Regarding your recent response to my FOI request, could you please clarify two issues in your reply.
1. In the list of 94 care homes having at least one notification please explain the significance of the numbers in brackets after the name of each care home.
2. Holywood Care Home listed as number 69 in your list of 94 care homes having at least one notification, is it possible to give a date this occurred?
Yours sincerely,
Roger Corder
