Statistics/usage of smart ticketing in Edinburgh

The request was partially successful.

Dear Lothian Buses Limited,

I am currently writing a dissertation about the use of smart ticketing in the UK and how it can improve public transport, would it be possible to receive some information?

1) A statistical and numerical representation of the number of smart cards and mobile tickets active in recent times, i.e. Ridacard, Scottish concession cards, citysmart, mobile ticketing and apps?

2) What is the percentage of smart tickets used for journeys on bus and tram (if available)?

3) How many journeys were on paper tickets and how many on smart ticketing? Both a statistical and numerical representation would be greatly appreciated.

4) Any information on the change in customer behavior from ticket sales to smart ticket sales?

Yours faithfully,

J Symes
