Dear Department for Transport,
Please could you provide me with the following:
How many electric car users there are in Scotland to date, broken down by local authority area?
If this data is split up into separate segments for example Fully Electric (BEV), Plug in Hybrid (PHEV), Hybrid (HEV) and Mild Hybrid (MHEV), then please provide the data as separate totals rather than just one total covering all.
Please could you also provide totals for Diesel, Petrol and Hydrogen vehicles per Scottish local authority area.
How this is recorded/data obtained? i.e. registered keeper details, VED address or another method.
(The Scottish Govt have confirmed they do not hold this information, and suggested the Department for Transport may.)
