Dear Hampshire Police Authority,

Thank you for your response, I am narrowing my search as suggested.

Could you provide me with the details of 20 cases whereby a police officer has been harmed or injured when arresting a criminal this year. (2012)

Please could you outline the details of the accident, type of injury and if there was any long term consequences as a result e.g Life changing circumstances or if they have had to stop work.

Yours faithfully,

Christina Michaels

Hampshire Police Authority

Good afternoon

In respect of your refined FOI request below, I am afraid I am still
unable to assist you.

Without reviewing all injury records, there is no way of isolating 20
records where an officer has been injured during an arrest. Please see my
previous response to HC/001593/12 for an explanation.

I am able to review 20 records where an injury has occurred to an officer
to determine if any of those relate to injury during an arrest but there
is no guarantee that any of those records will be relevant to an injury
sustained during an arrest.

I have placed your request on hold pending confirmation that the second
option above is satisfactory.

Best wishes
Rebecca Warhurst

Dear Hampshire Police Authority,

Thank you for your response. Please could you do as suggested and review 20 records where an injury has occurred to an officer. Regardless if this relates to injury during arrest.

If possible could you outline:
a) When the injury occurred
b) How injury occurred
c) Who was to blame
d) Type of injury and seriousness

Yours faithfully,

Christina Michaels

It would appear no serious Injuries.... Interesting.
