Statistics on child injury, death and sexual abuse.

We're waiting for Katie Weir to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Office for National Statistics,

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from the ONS Crime and Justice Department:

The statistics available, over the last 5 years, showing how many children in England have suffered proven sexual abuse, serious injury/ assault and death whilst on access visits to their father. I also require the overall number of children having unsupervised access with their fathers over this same 5 year time period separated annually.

Please provide the information in the form of an email showing the number of children who have suffered 1 of the above discrepancies and the percentages of children who have suffered a combination of all the above broken down into the specific categories/combinations of abuse.

If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.

If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined I would be grateful for any further advice and assistance.

If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or phone and I will be very happy to clarify what I am asking for and discuss the request, my details are outlined below.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

Yours Faithfully,

Katie Weir
