Dear Ms Moore

In regard to your request for information relating to statistics of
children dying in Local Authority Care , year on year.  received on 9
March 2012.

I wonder if we could clarify your request and would like to know:

If you require the number of deaths of children living in local authority
run services (e.g. in a Care Home for children or secure accommodation)

Or

Is it the number of deaths of Children 'Looked After'  by local
authorities ('Looked after children' are sometimes referred to as 'In
care', but not necessarily in a care home or secure care etc.)

If you have any queries regarding your request please contact me on  the
number below or email [SCSWIS request email]

Yours sincerely
