Statistics for the Annually replacement of Road Studs

The request was successful.

Dear Lambeth Borough Council,

In brief my Company, Cyclops Road Studs Ltd has developed a device that illuminates road markings with UK, USA, CHINA & EUROPE patents granted and further patents pending globally.

I would very much appreciate information for the number of Road Studs that are replaced Annually in the UK within your County (the most recent year you have on record would be fine and just one year) could you please specify the year they relate to? It would also be helpful if you could tell me the total miles of roads that you maintain/look after for your County?

IT IS IMPERATIVE TO MY COMPANY THAT I HAVE THE CORRECT INFROMATION IN ORDER FOR ME TO BE ABLE TO FINALISE DISCUSSIONS WITH VARIOUS INVESTORS TO GET A ROUTE TO MARKET WHICH IS DEPENDENT ON THE ANNUAL REPLACEMENT FIGURES.

Yours faithfully,

Thomas Barker

Our Response

In Lambeth, we renew markings when we identify defects from either site
inspections or receive complaints regarding worn out road markings that
include road studs.

We do not hold any records on stud renewals as these works will be carried
out within a package of road marking renewals i.e: with stop lines and
other worn out markings within a particular junction or location.

The total length of road in Lambeth is 190miles (excluding Trunk Roads
maintained  by Transport for London) and the total area is 2682 hectares.
