Statistics for the Annually replacement of Road Studs

The request was successful.

Dear Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council,

In brief my Company, Cyclops Road Studs Ltd has developed a device that illuminates road markings with UK, USA, CHINA & EUROPE patents granted and further patents pending globally.

I would very much appreciate information for the number of Road Studs that are replaced Annually in the UK within your Region? It would also be helpful if you could tell me the total miles of roads that your calculation is taken from for your region?

IT IS IMPERATIVE TO MY COMPANY THAT I HAVE THE CORRECT INFROMATION IN ORDER FOR ME TO BE ABLE TO FINALISE DISCUSSIONS WITH VARIOUS INVESTORS TO GET A ROUTE TO MARKET WHICH IS DEPENDENT ON THE ANNUAL REPLACEMENT FIGURES.

Yours faithfully,

Thomas Barker

Dear Mr Barker

Further to your request for an internal review in relation to your FOI request ref 7727, I am writing to inform you of the outcome of the said review

In relation to your enquiry " how many road studs are replaced annually. you say you don’t have a replacement programme for road studs. please note, any number from any year will be fine (please specify the year)"

Please see the Council's response as follows:

In the year 2018/2019 we will have replaced 96 road studs on one capital resurfacing scheme. The number is low, but we are an urban district, where our roads are covered by street lights.

I hope you find our response satisfactory.
