Thank you for your email.

We acknowledge receipt of your request.

You will be aware of the significant pressures on our health and social
care services during the current surge of the Covid-19 pandemic. During
this time we have been asking our staff to prioritise their professional
caring duties and to support front line health and social care services in
responding to the emergency. This has understandably had an impact on
other duties within their role such as responding to legislative
requirements under FOI and the processing of Subject Access Requests.

We assure you that your request will be logged and processed, and we will
do our utmost to respond as quickly as possible.

Yours faithfully

Dear Team, Foi,

Disappointing and unsatisfactory response from the Southern Health Trust as the statistical dashboard which you have re directed me to does not provide any of the information requested, since my request was specific to Craigavon Area Hospital only. Nor does any information contained on the dashboard answer any of the specified questions in relation to age or health conditions as requested. Interesting and concerning to note that neither Craigavon Hospital or the Southern Health Trust compile or record any of this information, which would be absolutely necessary in conducting and concluding any statistical research, at public, scientific or governmental level. Extremely remiss and dissatisfactory, and something the Trust should address urgently in the interest of a transparent public health system fit for purpose.

Yours sincerely,

Maggie McDonald
