Statistical and related data: How many GRS operations are performed, per year, at Parkside Hospital?
Dear Aspen Healthcare Ltd,
How many vaginoplasty (functional vagina) and labiaplasty (zero depth vagina) surgeries under the department of Gender Identity Service &/ GRS department for transgender women, are performed, on average or otherwise, per year, at Parkside Hospital?

Dear Miss Taylor,
Thank you for your request dated 11^th May 2021. I apologise for the
delayed acknowledgement to your request, and am please to report that
Aspen staff are working on retrieving these figures for you.
Please note that Aspen Healthcare is a Private Healthcare organisation,
and as such data relating to private treatments will not be shared under
Freedom of Information Act 2000. Aspen does however receive a number of
NHS referred treatments, and as such we are working to gather information
relating only to such treatments. This will likely mean the figures
provided will only be a small sub-set of actual figures.
This request requires additional time to investigate and locate NHS-based
treatments, therefore I am required to extend this request by an
additional 20 working days
I will provide a response as soon as possible, and by no later than the
6^th July 2021.

Dear Group DPO1,
I understand that Aspen Healthcare is not a public authority and that you have said that there is no obligation to provide a response under the Freedom of Information Act.
However, as an NHS England patient, that has been referred to Parkside Hospital for NHS urology treatment, there must be more accountability and transparency available for the benefit and greater understanding for members of the public and for any NHS patient having treatment at any Aspen Healthcare centre or hospital (in my particular case, Parkside Private Hospital).
It’s simply not good enough to provide inadequate and unacceptable hospital treatment via Parkside Hospital to myself and other vulnerable patients and then refuse to provide FOI responses due to “not obliged due to not being a public authority”.
Please kindly respond to all of my FOI requests, otherwise, I will consider taking further action, in order to acquire the information I need.
