Dear Office of Rail and Road,

Does the ORR hold a list of all train stations, including mainline and metro, which have Automated Ticket Gates (ATGs) installed and in operation?

If so please could you provide a list of all stations who have ATGs installed.

Yours faithfully,

C. Mee

Dear Mr. Mee,

Thank you for your request of 11^th October for a list of stations with
Automated Ticket Gates installed and in operation, which has been
considered under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FoIA
2000).

The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) does not hold the information
requested.  The National Rail Enquiries website
[1](http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/) contains some  relevant
information but this would entail checking station by station, looking
under the heading ‘Staffing and General Services’.

One other possible source for the information you are seeking is to
contact the  Rail Delivery Group (RDG)
([2]https://www.raildeliverygroup.com/).

As a side issue to your request, ORR is currently carrying out a market
study into the supply of automatic ticket gates and ticket vending
machines, further details can be found on our website at
[3]http://orr.gov.uk/rail/publications/rese....

Should you have any further enquiries regarding your request, please
contact the Customer Correspondence Team.

Your rights of appeal under FoIA 2000

If you are not satisfied with the way in which your request has been
handled, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Internal review
requests should be submitted within two months of the date of this email,
and should be addressed to the Board Secretariat at:

Office of Rail and Road

One Kemble Street

London

WC2B 4AN

Email:    [4][email address]

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you may
apply directly to the Information Commissioner (IC) for a decision.
Generally the IC cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the
complaints procedure provided by ORR. The IC can be contacted at:

The Information Commissioner’s Office

Wycliffe House

Water Lane

Wilmslow

Cheshire

SK9 5AF

Tel: 0303 123 1113
