Station Announcements
Dear Network Rail Limited,
Would I be able to receive a copy of station announcements for personal use?
Thank you in advance.
Yours faithfully,
Callum Owen

Dear Mr Owen,
Thank you for your request to the transparency team. You requested the following information:
“Would I be able to receive a copy of station announcements for personal use?”
Although we are not subject to the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act until April 2015, in line with our on-going commitment to transparency, we have dealt with your request as if we were.
From your request it was unclear whether you desired recorded announcements that have been loaded onto the PA/VA, the scripts for these announcements or alternatively scripts for manual announcements for unplanned disruption.
From a search of our systems I can confirm we do not hold the information you desire. If the request is for the automated announcements, these are owned/recorded by our Customer Information System (CIS) suppliers. Our main supplier is ATOs, but we also use an Amey system at a number of stations. At St Pancras only we use a Siemens system. For unplanned disruption, Network Rail stations don’t have a standard announcing guide, my advice would be going contacting the relevant train operating company to see if they hold such information.
If you have any questions relating to the handling of your request, please contact [email address].
Kind regards
Kevin
