Statement of Community Involvement

The request was partially successful.

Dear Warwickshire County Council,

Here at Civic Voice we are campaigning to put public participation at the heart of the planning system. With this in mind:

- Can you confirm as to whether your local authority has a Statement of Community Involvement?
- Can you confirm when the authority published the Statement of Community Involvement?
- When is your next expected consultation/update?
- Do you have a publicly available link to the SCI?
- Is the local civic society or Civic Trust identified by the local planning authority as a Consultee (whether Statutory or Non-Statutory) in the Planning System within the Statement of Community Involvement?

Kind Regards,

Sophie Mason

Dear Ms Mason,

Thank you for contacting us. Please be advised that we do not consider
your email to be a formal information request and we have therefore not
considered it under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act.
This is because your enquiry is very straightforward and can be answered
by directing you to information that is already in the public domain.

Please visit our [1]website to view our Statement of Community Involvement
(SCI). The County Council first adopted an SCI in 2005; in 2016, the
County Council decided to amend and update the SCI to reflect various
changes of structures and procedures. There are no plans to consult upon
or amend the SCI again at this point in time, however the SCI is kept
under review through the Annual Monitoring Report.

There are a number of civic societies/trusts in Warwickshire. The SCI does
not identify specific societies/trusts in its list of consultees; however,
the SCI refers to general consultation bodies including voluntary bodies
whose activities benefit any part of Warwickshire. The SCI also explains
that its list of consultees is not exhaustive. Consultees are listed in
appendices 1 and 2.

I trust that this satisfactorily answers your enquiry.

Yours sincerely,

Amy Hardiman
