Dear Home Office,

I write to you under the Freedom of Information act 2000 to request the following information:

The standard procedures used by Border Force UK for field testing and identifying herbal material as Cannabis sativa L. and the methodology used to determine whether the material meets the criteria of a Schedule 1 substance with a Class B penalty.

The standard procedures used by Border Force UK for testing and identifying the cannabinoid profile (specifically identifying the level of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)) of a suspected sample of Cannabis sativa L.

A definition of the term ‘Marijuana’ used by UK Border Force Officer’s and the criteria to determine a substance as being ‘Marijuana’.
