Stafford Closure

The request was refused by Staffordshire University.

Dear Staffordshire University,

It has been noted in local press and word of mouth recently in the Stafford Locality that there is currently a consultation on the closure of Stafford Campus.

I respectfully ask that under the freedom of information act, meeting minutes are released for any meetings undertaken by the university where the closure has been discussed within the past 18 calendar months. I appreciate that documents may have to be adapted to conceal names of those present in order to maintain data protection but would also like a list of the job titles of persons present for each meeting.

I further ask that any correspondence relating to the closure of the Stafford Campus is disclosed, this includes emails, letters and internal memos.

Yours faithfully,

Robert Williams

Dear HOWLETT Sue,

In my request I did not mention that the meeting had to specifically be about the closure, just any meeting where the subject had arisen and had been minuted in any way shape or form.

I also asked for correspondence of where the closure was discussed in emails, letters or memos.

These could be between board members, stake holders or internal staff. I find it very difficult to believe that nothing has been on paper in the preceding 18 months about the closure. I see no effort in your response that any attempt was taken to ascertain if the university held this information.

Based on the facts mentioned above, I do not believe that this request has been handled correctly and I am now requesting this matter be taken to an internal review.

Yours sincerely,

Robert Williams
