Lindsay Hodgson made this Freedom of Information request to Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

Waiting for an internal review by Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust of their handling of this request.

Dear Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust,

Please kindly provide a copy of the weekly staffing rotas for the emergency department of Fairfield Hospital – for doctors; nurses; healthcare assistants; physician associates; etc (separate rotas where relevant) which include the dates 17 and 18 February 2022.

Please confirm if any gaps in the doctor’s rota for that week were filled by non-medics.

Dear FOIRequest,

Please note that this currently appears as long overdue on this website. On investigating further, this is because you appear to have replied with a response to this current request (i.e. FOI 14466) under a totally different, unrelated FOI request I made that had already received a response (i.e. FOI 14461). Please urgently ensure that both requests are updated and corrected so that any readers of each FOI are not confused by your error.

In the response to this current question for FOI 14466 you state:

“The Trust is unable to provide the information being sought. This is because we moved to a new rostering system in 2023.

The previous systems in place were RPS (for clinical staff) and DRS (for medical staff) and both were decommissioned last year. The Trust does hold some archive files however there is only one colleague in the NCA who can access the archives and this individual is currently off on long-term sickness with no specified date of return.”

Given this – I request an urgent rectification / review be performed as the answer you’ve provided is inconceivable.

I have recently been provided with data about staff on duty specific to my own case under a SAR derived from internal staffing rotas / data covering that exact period. So without doubt, this information DOES exist and IS held by the Trust and IS accessible. (NOTE - my request here was for more general rather than personal information which is why I submitted this FOI).

I therefore suggest that you check again regarding other potential sources where this data on staffing is held by the Trust in addition to the ‘decommissioned’ systems you mention in your reply. There MUST be other sources (e.g. intranet / emails to team leaders and staff / online message boards and / or social media group chats / etc and I request that these be urgently provided given how long I have been waiting for an appropriate answer to this FOI.

Thanks in advance,

Yours sincerely,

Lindsay Hodgson

We have now resent  this FOI using the correct link.

Please can the incorrect information be remove/or noted uploaded in error
from FOI 14461 on your website and a message redirecting customers to the

Dear FOIRequest,

Please may I have an update on this long overdue request for a review of my FOI. It is inconceivable that the data requested surrounding staffing requirements / rotas is not available somewhere within the Trust.

Particularly since I have already been provided with staffing data specific to my own individual case on a SAR. General information will no doubt be available for this FOI.

Yours sincerely,

Lindsay Hodgson
