Brian Mottershead, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service

Dear Sir,

Further to your Freedom of Information Act request below, it is clear that
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS) will not be able to answer
your request without further clarification, as follows:

·         Please clarify what information you are seeking in relation to
“response times”.  NWFRS regularly responds to a wide variety of requests
from the public (e.g. for information, advice, talks, emergency fire and
rescue services),  auditors, government, staff and other stakeholders, so
we would want to be clear what information was being requested before
starting to compile our response.  Please also confirm that Questions 6
and 7 refer to the same measurements.

·         In relation to Question 6, please clarify the time period over
which the average is to be calculated.  It is not clear whether this
refers to a portion of this calendar year (January and February 2016) or
financial year (April 2015 to February 2016), or across a number of
calendar or financial years (e.g. April 2010 to February 2016).

·         In relation to question 7, please confirm that this refers to
the calendar year 2010.

NWFRS will continue to process your request once the clarification has
been received.  If clarification is not received within three months your
request will be considered to have lapsed. (Under section 1(3) of the
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), a public authority need not comply with
a request unless any further information reasonably required to locate the
information is supplied).

Yours faithfully,
