3. Please provide the following information for each conviction:
a. The person's role and/or rank
b. The offence
c. Whether the person received a custodial sentence (suspended or otherwise)
d. Whether the person was convicted before they joined the police

I write in connection with your request for information dated 7^th June
under the Freedom of Information Act.

 

Specifically you asked:

 

1. How many people does your force have in each of the following roles:

Our response:

1)    Police Officers – Total Headcount 2770

Specials – Headcount 304

PCSO – Headcount 328

Police staff – Headcount 2600

 

2) There are currently 21 serving members of staff who have a criminal
conviction.

 

o Police Officers: 15
o Special Constables: 1
o PCSO: 0
o Police Staff:  5

 

Please note the details of Criminal Convictions recorded by the
Professional Standards Department only relate to criminal convictions over
and above endorsable offences. Endorsable offences, classified as speeding
tickets, parking fines, driving without a seat belt etc, are not recorded
by the Professional Standards Department.
