Staff Training for Universal Credit and Complaint Department for the Public
Dear Department for Communities (Northern Ireland),
I will like to ask about the training you give to your staff working with Universal Credit and how much the phone handler knows about the Rules of Department For Communities regarding public body request.
1. How many staff in Universal Credit are trained about Landlords with tenants claiming Universal Credit most especially private landlords.
I will like to know the training the staff have about Applying for a rent arrears deduction for private landlord that Universal Credit claimants help in getting the rents payment stolen.
2. How many Staffs and Case manager knows about this rules of Universal Credit Third Party Payments and Credit Supplier Handbook for private landlords.
How many claim back have Universal Credit help to get back from third party suppliers that are servicing Universal Credit customers.
Rules links: https://www.communities-ni.gov.uk/sites/...
It said that: AS A CREDITOR/SUPPLIER, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
• Contacting us to apply to set up deductions from the claimant’s Universal Credit. (Please ensure if you already have an account with us that you quote your supplier/creditor reference number on all applications)
And why do Universal Credit Case managers and staffs do NOT know about this rules but only thinks it is only applicable to Housing Executives tenants
Yours faithfully,
Mustafa
COVID-19 Virus – Information for Requesters.
Thank you for contacting the Department for Communities FOI team,
While FOI law still applies during this time the Department is facing
unprecedented pressures – for example as a result of staff absences,
office closures, or a significant increase in demand for our services,
such as access to benefits.
Therefore we may find it challenging to respond to information requests
within the 20 working day timescale set out in law.
We would ask requesters to think about the impact of Covid-19 when making
a request. Your information rights remain vitally important, and the FOI
principles of openness, transparency and accountability will play an
essential role in supporting public trust at this difficult time.
However, if you're planning a request, it's worth thinking about whether
there is any way the request might be narrowed to reduce its impact and
speed up your response.
Following guidance from the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), we
will keep requesters informed of any delays and will respond as soon as
resources allow.
We will also be keeping up to date on guidance from the ICO as the
situation changes to ensure that we comply with any changes or amendments
to information rights practice.

Dear Department for Communities (Northern Ireland),
I will wait for a comprehensive reply to my request, i have been on the phone for more than 200 times and non of the staffs, case manager or phone handlers knows anything about this. Those that replied my email do not know anything about this.
While Universal Credit in Northern Ireland do not have a complaint department as required by law, i will also like to know why and reasons there is no complaint department open to the public.
Yours faithfully,
Mustafa

Dear Fitzpatrick Sheila NISSA BELFAST CASTLE COURT,
Thank you for getting back to me, i am on the whatdotheyknow online website where i can request information that will also be of beneficiary to me and other member of the community facing the same situation. Thanks again for the information you attached here, i am aware of the freedom of information law.
To my knowledge and contact with Universal Credit in Northern Ireland I will like to know the Training the Department For Communities gave to the staffs working with Universal Credit in Northern Ireland, why they are not aware of the Department for Communities "Universal Credit: Third party payments creditor and supplier handbook" To apply for a rent arrears deduction for private landlords who must complete a rent arrears form which can be found in the "Universal Credit Third Party Payments and Creditor Supplier Handbook"
https://www.communities-ni.gov.uk/articl...
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...
"NON" of the Universal Credit staffs working with Department for Communities is aware of the above links that is open to the public on the Department for Communities website.
And also why there is no Complaint Department or Complaint Procedure for the public who are not claimants like private landlords that have reference with Universal Credit or who Universal Credit have contacted to request rent payment banks details.
Thanks
Yours sincerely,
Mustafa

Could you please give me a proper reply to my request under freedom of information law as this reply did not say anything about my request, i understand every organisation gives training but my question are:
1. How many staff in Universal Credit are trained about Landlords with tenants claiming Universal Credit most especially private landlords.
2. How many Staffs and Case manager knows about this rules of Universal Credit Third Party Payments and Credit Supplier Handbook for private landlords.
Rules Link on DFC Website: https://www.communities-ni.gov.uk/sites/...
3. How many claim back have Universal Credit help to get back from third party suppliers that are servicing Universal Credit customers.
4 And why do Universal Credit Case managers and staffs do NOT know about this rules but only thinks it is only applicable to Housing Executives tenants

I will like you to review your reply / decision not to give me answer to my request under freedom of information law.
Yours sincerely,
Mustafa
